Loady

Loady is the AI assistant built into the order wizard. Type what you want in your own words and Loady fills in carriers, boxes, settings, or export choices for you. It follows you from step to step and focuses on whatever you are working on.

Who is Loady?

Open the chat panel from any step in the order wizard. Loady focuses on the step you are on and answers questions about that step. When you describe what you want, Loady fills in the form for you.

Step-aware

Loady knows which step you are on: Carriers, Boxes, Configuration, Calculate, or Export. When you move to a new step, the conversation moves with you. Earlier chats are kept so you can go back to them.

One click to apply

Suggestions show up as cards you can review. Each card lists what Loady wants to put on the form. Click Apply to add it.

Stays on topic

Loady stays on the step you are working on. If you ask about boxes while you are on the Carriers step, Loady points you to the Boxes step instead of guessing.

Handles units automatically

You can write dimensions in cm, m, inches, or feet, and weights in kg or lbs. The assistant converts everything into the units the form uses. Numbers outside the allowed range get rejected before they reach the form.

How to Access the Assistant

The assistant is part of the order wizard. You don't have to install anything or open a separate page.

What Loady Does on Each Step

Loady adapts to each step of the wizard, with its own answers and its own Apply button per step. The chat panel stays the same, and each step keeps its own conversation.

Step 1: Carriers
Suggesting carriers

Suggests common carriers like a European Mega Trailer, a 20ft container, or an EUR-pallet truck. You can also describe your own carrier by giving the dimensions. Each suggestion comes with a quantity. If the dimensions match an existing preset, that name is used so the labels stay the same.

Apply suggestion
Step 2: Boxes
Turning cargo into box rows

Reads a description of the cargo and turns it into rows for the form: dimensions, weight, and whether the boxes can be stacked or tilted. If a shape is already on your list, the quantity goes up. Loady won't add a duplicate row.

Apply boxes
Step 3: Configuration
Tuning the settings

Helps you set the optimization options: shift mass to center and stacking order (back→front, left→right, bottom→top). It only changes the settings that need to change, so the rest stay as they were.

Apply configuration
Step 4: Calculate
Explaining the result

Looks at the calculation result and tells you what went wrong if not everything fits. It picks one of a few common fixes: add another carrier, use fewer boxes, make the carrier bigger, change a setting, or double-check the dimensions. Clicking the fix takes you to the step where you can apply it.

Suggested fix
Step 5: Export
Choosing an export format

Walks you through the export formats and helps you pick one. Excel gives a full breakdown per carrier. PDF gives a shorter summary with placement diagrams. Loady only answers questions here; it never changes the form.

How to Use Loady

The flow is the same on every step. You open the panel, describe what you want, look at what comes back, and either apply it or ask for a change.

1
Open the panel

Click the chat icon in the bottom-right of the wizard. The panel header tells you which step you are on.

2
Switch automatically

Move through the wizard the way you normally would. Loady follows along and focuses on the step you are on. Earlier chats stay around if you want to come back to them.

3
Describe naturally

Describe what you have in your own words. You can mix units (cm, m, inches, kg, lbs). Grouping similar items together usually gives the best result.

4
Review the suggestion

Cards above the Apply button show what will change: carrier dimensions, box rows, a settings change, or a suggested fix. Have a quick look before you click.

5
Apply or refine

Click Apply to put the suggestion into the form, or send a follow-up message to tweak it first. If you click Apply twice on the same suggestion, the quantity is set to the value in the suggestion, not doubled.

Supported Input

On the Carriers and Boxes steps, Loady understands a lot of different ways of describing things. Here are the formats it recognizes.

Input TypeSupported FormatsExample
Dimensionscm, m, inches, feet (auto-converted to mm)40x30x50 cm
Weightkg, lbs (auto-converted to grams)5 kg each
QuantityNumeric amounts20 boxes
Fragility"fragile", "handle with care", "do not stack on top"10 fragile glass panels
Carrier TypeISO containers, EU/US trailers, vansLoad into a 40ft container

Per-Step Examples

One example for each step, showing what you can type and what comes back.

Step 1: Carriers
Mixed standard and custom carriers
Add 20 European Mega Trailers and 3 trailers of 5000x1800x2600 mm

You get back two rows: 20 × Mega Trailer (13600×2450×3000 mm), matched to the built-in preset, plus 3 × custom carrier of 5000×1800×2600 mm. One click adds them to your carrier list.

Step 2: Boxes
Mixed-size cargo with handling
10 small boxes 20x20x20cm 3kg and 5 fragile glass panels 100x60x5cm 12kg, do not stack on top

You get two box rows back: 10 × 200×200×200 mm at 3000 g with default options, and 5 × 1000×600×50 mm at 12000 g with stacking off and rotation limited to Z.

Step 3: Configuration
Solver settings from a scenario
Load from the rear and keep the truck balanced

You get back a small settings change (stackingOrder = Back→Front and shiftMassToCenter = true). Only the fields that need to change are included, so anything you already set stays untouched.

Step 4: Calculate
Diagnosing a partial fit
Why didn't all my boxes fit?

The assistant looks at the calculation, tells you which boxes did not fit and why, and offers a fix like 'add_more_carriers' or 'reduce_box_count'. Clicking the fix takes you to the step where you can do it.

Step 5: Export
Choosing a format
Which format should I share with my warehouse team?

PDF is recommended for the placement diagrams and short summary, with Excel as a second option when the warehouse team wants the full breakdown per carrier. Nothing on the form changes here.

Tips for Best Results

Ask on the right step

Loady sticks to the step you are on. If you ask about boxes while you are on the Carriers step, it will tell you to switch to the Boxes step first.

Be specific with dimensions

Always include length, width, and height for each shape. You can mix units (cm, m, inches, feet) and the assistant will convert everything to millimeters.

Include weight

If you forget to mention weight, Loady will ask before adding any rows on the Boxes step. The calculation needs weights, not just sizes and quantities.

Settings you didn't mention stay the same

On the Configuration step, Loady only sends back the settings it wants to change. If something is missing from the suggestion, that is on purpose, and the rest of your settings stay as they were.
