Load Optimizer API

Pack real-world cargo into real-world transport. Get back exactly where every item goes, and how to physically build it.

The API solves 3D load optimization: place boxes into carriers (pallets, containers, trucks) in a single job, with per-item rotation and stacking constraints, and secondary objectives that centre the load's mass or choose the axis it packs along.

What you can do

  • Pack boxes into carriers. A job takes carriers[] (what you load into) and cargo[] (what you ship). Both are flat lists, each entry described by box geometry. Omit a carrier's quantity and the solver decides how many instances of it to use.
  • Async by design. Every solve is a job: submit, poll, and collect the result. Use an Idempotency-Key for safe retries, and cancel a job you no longer need.
  • Your own units. Five unit kinds per job, metric or imperial; the result echoes back whichever it used.

How these docs are organized

  1. Concepts: the mental model. Read this first; everything else assumes it.
  2. Authentication: how to call the API.
  3. Quickstart: your first job end-to-end, in ~5 minutes.
  4. Anatomy of a job: a single-page tour of the whole JobRequest shape.
  5. Guides are task-focused walkthroughs: - Optimization objectives, the core control: what to optimize for - Building load units · Units - Constraints - Async & validate - Instructions & sharing · Errors & troubleshooting
  6. API Reference: the full, interactive endpoint/schema reference.

Get access

You need an account and an API key. Sign up in the web app, then create a key there. The application's own API keys documentation has the current steps. The key authenticates and authorizes each call for your account. See Authentication for the full key + access story.
