A Step-by-Step Wizard, Multi-Carrier Loads & Smarter Edit Mode

Load creation moves to a guided wizard, paving the way for multi-carrier orders and a new staging panel that makes swapping boxes effortless.

Building a load on loadoptimizer.ai just got a major refresh. The form has grown into a focused, step-by-step wizard that walks you from carrier setup through to the final export, leaving room for bigger features without crowding the screen. Two of those bigger features ship alongside it.

A Guided Wizard

Every part of load creation now lives in its own step: pick your carriers, add your boxes, fine-tune the optimizer, calculate, and export. Each step focuses on one thing and shows just what you need at that moment. Switching between steps takes a single click, and your progress is preserved so you can revisit an earlier choice without losing anything you have already entered.

The new structure is also what makes it possible for us to keep growing the product. Each new feature gets a clean place to live, instead of being squeezed into a single long form.

Multi-Carrier Loads

Need more than one container, pallet, or trailer for a single order? Add as many carriers as you like in the new Carriers step. The optimizer fills them in the order you list them, so you stay in control of which carrier gets loaded first.

Multi-carrier orders flow through the rest of the wizard the same as single-carrier ones, and the same Excel file you export can be re-imported later with every carrier intact. Two further packing strategies are coming soon: Minimize (use the fewest carriers) and Balance (spread boxes evenly across carriers). You can register interest from the Configuration step to be notified when each ships.

A Smarter Edit Mode

Edit Mode now understands multiple carriers, and it ships with a brand-new staging panel alongside the 3D viewer. When you remove a box, or pull one out of a carrier to put into another, it lands in the staging panel instead of disappearing. From there you can drop it back into any carrier at the position you want.

Swapping boxes within a single carrier or shuffling them between carriers is now a matter of moving them onto the staging panel and placing them where they should go, with the same snap-to-place comfort the rest of Edit Mode has.
